Who can apply?

From date of application, the individual must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Singapore Citizen aged 21 and above. Applications will be opened to Permanent Residents aged 21 and above in Q1 2026.
  • Earned an average gross monthly income1 of S$5,000 or less in the past 12 months (excluding employer CPF contributions). This includes only the period(s) where the individual is employed and earning an income.
  • Was previously employed in Singapore for at least six months in the past 12 months2.
  • Became unemployed due to involuntary reasons such as retrenchment, cessation of business, dismissals or termination due to illness, injury or accident.
  • Reside in a property in Singapore with an Annual Value of S$31,000 or less.
  • Has not received a payout from this scheme in the past three years.

How to qualify for payouts?

You will first need to apply online to participate in the Jobseeker Support scheme. Once approved, you will earn points when you take part in any of the supported job search activities over a period of 6 months. This includes activities such as attending career coaching or submitting job applications. You will receive the corresponding payouts when you meet the minimum points required for each month.

1 Average gross monthly income includes basic salary and extra wages such as overtime pay, commissions and bonuses.

2 Individuals who lost their job on or after 1 April 2024 and are still unemployed (for more than six months in the last 12 months) can still qualify for the scheme if they apply by 15 June 2025.
